Classy soulful vocals, honest heartfelt songs

Joanna Cooke has a voice that mesmerises whenever it is heard. From live performances in intimate local venues to recordings on tracks played across the world, her versatility and soul shine through.

Joanna grew up in the south west UK on a musical diet of blues masters Muddy Waters and Howling Wolf with added input from female jazz and soul greats Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Aretha Franklin.

Growing success has seen Joanna regularly play over 120 live shows a year. These have included festival main stages and supporting major label artists Rag N Bone Man as part of his hand picked bill; and JP Cooper. She has appeared on local BBC TV and radio shows.

A first single, “Last June” was followed by Joanna's debut EP 'Remember Me', and more recently by the EP 'Wound Up'. More recordings are under way for another planned release.

Joanna's high quality vocals and top-line writing skills have been used internationally by dance music producers in Brazil (Vintage Culture - nearly 4m Youtube views), Australia (Odd Mob) and South Africa (Garcon) (dance chart hits in those countries) plus several releases in Europe with a major release to come.
